Description: Original WW1 British War Office document entitled "GERMAN TRENCH NOTICE BOARDS" which was printed in July 1916 during the Battle of The Somme. It provides vital information on enemy trench signage and was produced to aid Allied troops when capturing German frontline trench systems. It's double sided and measures approximately 20cm x 13cm.It's one of a rare archive of fascinating WW1 documents I have in my possession, relating to various aspects of trench warfare. They have survived well, with some areas of rust staining from paper clips and pins due to a century of lying in storage. Has a few edge nicks and some creasing. Please see my other WW1 (and WW2) documents, maps, photos etc (Seller's Ref - RW0424 / 2)
