Description: You can google Dassonville for his bio. His works have been shown in galleries all over the country & in museums like the J. Paul Getty Museum. I'm 76, my mother inherited these around 45 years ago from her father "Walter P. Bruning" who was also a well known photographer from this time period. I'm not sure how & when he acquired these. They have been stored away in a box for decades, never framed nor hung up in the light. Other then the old mats the photos are in excellent condition. They are both singed & dated in pencil (hard to read but it's there) They are not numbered. I don't know if the writing on the back is his or not. "GNARLED TREE" is from the "High Sierras' series. Overall it measures 15X16 in. & 9.5X10.5 inside the mat. The landscape is a Gelatin silver print know as "California Landscape w/ Cyprus. It measures 15X13 in. overall & 11X8 inches inside the mat.
