They both connect to the back of the headlight dimmer switch. the Yellow wire taps into the grey/blue wire on this switch and the black connects to the brown earth wire on this switch or any earth wire or earth point in the car. By doing it to the dimmer switch when you dim the ambient lights the W8 Red LED's will also dim.
