Description: Vtg HAND PAINTED Asian Porcelain & Brass Urn Table Lamp 3 Way MONKEYS BIRDS DEER29.5" tall to tip of finial, lamp is 19" high from base to neck of socket. Round hand carved 4-footed rosewood base is 6.25" across. Excellent condition, works perfectly. Asian porcelain urn lamp with magnificent hand painted scene of a VERY unusual Asian landscape, filled with exotic animals and birds plus buildings, plants, and trees. There are- elephants, deer, bulls, monkeys, fancy birds, ducks, and bridled horses. Buildings show window scenes of urns filled with flowers. There are also stylized medallions and patterns much like an Oriental rug, in between the scenes Colors are all hand painted and applied with a raised glaze in a moriage-style. Very glossy rich colors. Wide brass metal cap at top and base, brass neck, and a very nice/heavy solid brass turn knob. Lamp base is hand carved stained wood with 4 slightly raised feet which allow the cord to pass underneathLamp is not scratched, chipped, or damaged in any way. 3 way lamp allows you 3 different brightness settings when using a 3 way bulb. Comes w original harp, original very lovely solid [heavy] brass design finial. Has original 2 pronged clear gold toned cord which is 74" long, NOT in need of replacing, not brittle or cracked.
