This design was inspired by our stoneware mug that is based on fragments of eighteenth-century pottery uncovered in Williamsburg at the Anthony Hay House during archaeological excavations. Understandably, the heaviest concentrations of shards were found around tavern sites, where the originals would have been used for beer and cider.” I'm cleaning out my closets of gifts never given, items never used, clothes never worn, projects never done, etc. If interested, check out my other items!
