Very hard to find piece in particularly beautiful finish. - Howard Pierce is renowned in the history of Californian art pottery. His designs are known for their beautiful mid century modern style and superb quality, and are highly sought after by collectors. He established Howard Pierce Ceramics in the 1930s and continued producing until his death in 1994. - Marked with Howard Pierce stamp on base. - Excellent condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. There is a small 'smudge' of brown glaze on one side, which is just one of the quirks of handmade pieces. Measurements: 3 3/4" x 1 7/8" x 1 3/8"
