Pre-Owned, Good Vintage Condition. The front of the sign says 1815 The Drum Tavern V. Stiles. In the center is a patriotic style drum with an eagle holding arrows in its right claw and laurel leaf with left claw. In front of the eagle is a red, white, and blue shield. There are also stars above the eagles head. Well known for their wood decor in the 1960s & 1970s, George Nathan and Associates of Rhode Island handcrafted each piece by using a silkscreen technique on wooden boards with images that ranged from American Folk Art to humorous pieces. The boards were then distressed to intentionally make them look older and not perfect.
