Description: Vintage Garden City Pottery Mug Description and Item Information Up for sale is this vintage Garden City pottery mug. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This uncommon mug is glazed with a glossy orange glaze. The exterior has horizontal rings, and there is a barbed handle. It stands approximately 4 inches tall. It is about 4 1/8 inches long and 3 5/16 inches wide. Unpacked, this piece weighs 9.5 ounces. This would be a rare addition to a collection of vintage California pottery. Identification This vintage, unmarked mug is Garden City pottery of San Jose, California. Condition This mug looks very good overall, with no chips or cracks. It has light wear. There is very fine, unstained crazing. As made, there are thicker and thinner glaze areas. Also as made, and as shown in Photo 4, the glaze does not fully cover to the foot in one area.
