Vintage Elgin Helbros Graber Auto Stainless Steel Diver's Mens Watch 25J 1960

Description: This is a vintage wristwatch dating to circa 1960. This is handsome, clean, and in very good condition. This is some sort of collaboration watch between Elgin, Helbros, and Graber. I initially thought this was a marriage piece but I was actually able to find another one exactly like it for sale on eBay. This has been professionally cleaned and checked. The watch runs very well and keeps time. The time sets as it should. The date complication advances properly and can be quick set by pushing the crown. The case is stainless steel and it is about 38mm wide measuring across the bezel. The type of bezel on this is often called a bakelite bezel though it is actually some other type of plastic. This is similar to the bezels used on the vintage Blancpain Bathyscaph watches. It is about 43mm long to the tips of the lugs. The movement is a high quality Swiss made automatic winder and it has 25 jewels. The band is a new, good quality vintage rally style rubber dive strap. The total length of the watch is about 9 3/4 inches. This uses a 19mm band which could easily be replaced if you prefer a different style or length. The crystal is clean and clear and has no scratches. The dial is very nice and is depicted accurately in the pictures.
