Description: This is a highly collectible miniature tea /coffee pot that was made during th period of time that the allied forces occupied Japan, 1945 - 1952, under the command of General McArthur. It is hard to find this miniature tea pot in this excellent condition and also have the original lid to the pot. The hand painted flowers required talent and skill. To find a tea pot with a pedistal is also very rare. Finally, this item is not only hallmarked "Occupied Japan" but also the maker"s mark on the bottom of the pot. It has been very well taken care of for over 70 years. Please see the photos, as they are a large part of the description. What a tremendous find!
