Description: A great time traveling collage for Steelton, Pennsylvania. These are vintage matchbooks from establishments that served food and alcohol in the last century. Rumor has it that that is the Angel of Beer presiding over these vanished places. I say that since most of these are very proud to advertise beer. The one for Atlas Cafe looks like the 1940s in style. Maybe it is the 50s. I'm not sure. Some great graphics and the VFW features here prominently. Also "Good Old Beer!" being served at Martz's Tavern. None of these establishments are still in existence. There is still a VFW Post in Steelton, but it is now located on South 19th Street, not on Front Street, the main drag. I listed this as a collage but none of these are actually glued in. So you can rearrange these should you want to. They are tightened up in the frame so they should not shift. Frame has both a hanger in the appropriate place and a prop should you wish to display it on the wall or have it displayed at on its own easel stand. A great slice of Steelton history and a very colorful piece of decor for a restaurant or tavern. Or just perfect for that lover of all things Old Steelton! This measures approximately 11.5 in x 10 in (frame).
