Description: Fantastic extra large pair of entry door plates and exquisite knobs with Corbin multi-function mortise and interior thumb turn lock. Huge, thick door plates measure 15" x 3.5". One has a hole for an interior thumb turn lock. Plates are marked "5216" and "5212". Beautiful beaded perimeter and beaded/knurled knob collars/surrounds. Excellent casting with deep relief. Very heavy-about 6 lbs and 5/16" thick! 1-3/16' diameter cylinder keyhole 3/4" diameter knob hole 3.25" drop center to center The massive cast brass knob traditionally for the exterior side of the door measures 3.25" x 2-1/8"x 2.25" H. Almost 8oz each! The smaller cast brass interior knob measures 2-5/8" x 2". Both have lovely matching designs. Massive 5/16" split spindle included, of course. Interior brass thumb turn is included. Mortise is marked " B&P/Corbin and "Harvard" denoting probably from Harvard University years ago. Thick mortise face plate is about 3/16" thick and is 7-1/16" Long x 1-1/16" Wide. 3.75" Deep x 5" High. Push button mortise for night locking from interior. It appears to me the set needs an exterior cylinder lock. I do not know if all parts are present and highly suggest you see an experienced locksmith to advise what is if anything is required. The keyed cylinder shown is just a dummy. Fabulous entry door hardware! So ornate and pretty! It's very hard to find these in such good condition anymore. And, all cleaned up....so you don't have to. All the hard work has been done for you; unlike so many others listed elsewhere that come to you with dents, dings, cracks, holes, paint, crud, old polish, green spots, rust/corrosion, etc. Many are so rusty you cannot even take the knobs off the spindles (I know from experience!) Who wants that? These are "red flags" you should consider when looking for antique door hardware. These antiques date back to the turn of the century or so and are as popular today as they were back then, if not more so. They are never out of style & bring a lovely decorative touch to any door. As with all old, antique, vintage and pre-owned items, this / these may have some degree of visible wear, discoloration, dust, tarnish, light rust and/or other minor imperfections etc, which is considered normal. Patina and finish may vary from piece to piece. Partially cleaned, but many buyers want the old patina look so I will leave any additional cleaning to the new owners. These is are well over 100 years old yet I consider them to be in very good to excellent vintage condition, consistent with age and use; taken off old doors, but don’t just take my word for it, YOU be the judge. My opinion of the condition may be different than yours. Lots of pictures to get a good look; review them all carefully as they are a large part of the listing. Ask all the questions you want and ask them NOW so you have all your answers and information to make an informed decision BEFORE purchase. I always encourage questions BEFORE buying if you are unsure of anything, anything at all, no matter how minor. I encourage questions so DON’T BE SHY !! Ask questions now, before purchase to avoid any disappointment! This beautiful vintage hardware will make your door look special, but remember.... I AM NO EXPERT ON THESE AND DON'T CLAIM TO BE! I DON’T KNOW EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT THEM. YOU MAY KNOW MORE ABOUT THESE THAN I DO. PERHAPS I MISSED SOMETHING, I AM ONLY HUMAN. PLEASE DON’T ASSUME ANYTHING AND ASK QUESTIONS; I WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY WITH YOUR PURCHASE. AGAIN, PLEASE RE-READ THE LISTING DETAILS, REVIEW ALL THE PICTURES AND ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT ANYTHING. WHILE MY GOAL IS TO MAKE YOU A HAPPY CUSTOMER, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ASSESS THE SUITABILITY OF THIS ITEM. LOOK AT ALL THE PHOTOS AND LISTING DETAILS INCLUDING MEASUREMENTS/DIMENSIONS ETC TO ENSURE THEY FIT YOUR NEEDS BEFORE BIDDING OR PURCHASING. Age, from research, is believed to be somewhat accurate but is not guaranteed. Actual age unknown. Please do your own due diligence if this is a concern. All measurements approximate. I love these oldies; and so will you. There is nothing like USA- made antique door hardware to showcase your decor and make your doors look fabulous. They just don't make anything like this nowadays. What you do find in retail stores is imported reproduction junk. Don't waste your time and money. Antique hardware made in the USA remains the "gold standard" but remember, these are old pieces, coming from homes well over 100 years old so they will NEVER EVER be perfect in every way and will always show some evidence of natural wear. This is a beautiful antique door set you will be proud to own. I’ll do my best to see that you are not disappointed but be sure all your questions have been answered prior to bidding or purchase because, like all my items, these are SELLING AS IS; ALL SALES FINAL, NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS. . If you need special shipping features such as signing on delivery etc, please contact me before payment as this will increase the shipping cost . Shipping quoted DOES NOT include any special delivery instructions or handling, signing etc THANK YOU for your interest in my Listings! And be sure to check out all the other door hardware I am offering. There's always something for everyone! One final note: I personally examine everything I list and describe it to the best of my ability, with my (sometimes) limited knowledge about the item(s). I’m selling antiques and what I see as ‘normal aging’, someone else may see as a flaw. It is not possible to point out every detail on every item. If you are unclear about quality, age or condition of any of our items, PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BUYING. MESSAGE ME OR CALL 404 790 7552 I am a GREEN Seller, so I reuse boxes and packing materials whenever possible. Please help me reuse and recycle! warehouse 2 723:118
