Description: This is a really pretty dress that was cherished and has been put away and kept safe for decades. I dont know much about fabrics, but I think it is taffeta with a silk organza overlay. The trim is flattened from storage. As you can see from the pictures, the color depends on the lighting. The picture of the organza hem looks like dusty rose and matches how it looks now in a dimmer rom, it also looks like raspberry or sherbet in more light. It looks like a bridesmaid or other special occasion dress and is for a tall, very slender figure, but there is no sizing (unless 2420 7 means something to you). It is about 59" from the top of the collar to the hem, 15 1/2" from armpit to armpit, 12 3/4" across at the seam under the bust, 15 1/4" from the top of the collar to the seam under the bust, 25" length of sleeve and 44" length of skirt. The emroidery is very fancy and pretty, and has ribbon woven through it. For the age, I would say it is in very good condition. There are no bad odors, there is a bit of a powdery smell.
