JB Description: Up for sale is this Vintage 1885 Monteith Physical Geography school textbook. It deals with a variety of topics including space, weather, islands, mountains, magnetism, volcanoes, earthquakes, Water & tides, glaciers & icebergs, minerals, & distribution of life. It has black & white illustrations, charts, & some colored maps. Its more accurate than a lot of other textbooks, it doesn't have Pluto listed as a planet - well, it doesn't have Pluto mentioned at all. Size : approx. 9.6 x 7.8 x 0.5 inchesDate/Publisher : 1885 / James Monteith Condition: Very good condition for a school textbook that is over almost 140 years old. Only major condition issues I see is that a previous owner has written in front endpaper and some rubbing wear on cover. Also, I did notice a few stray pencil marks inside, but nothing overt or destructive. Please use photos because they are the most accurate & concise representation of condition appearance might be better than the description implies.. Unless Specifically stated as new or unused, many of our items are pre-loved pieces moving on to new homes.
