Description: vintage 14 k solid gold Benrus watch. I purchased this watch about ten years ago at an antique jewelry shop near Berkeley, California. Note the inscription dated May 17, 1955. In absolutely superb, flawless condition. Frankly, it was probably cherished as an heirloom and rarely worn. Measures about one inch by an inch and a half. I have never had the back off until today, to take these photos. Dial and crystal are like the day it was presented as a gift. The 1950's were the last of the Deco era, and this watch represents that style beautifully. Keeps excellent time...runs very slightly fast but hardly enough to notice.
