This is a truly RARE poetry publication from the Beat Poets Era. Steve Tropp (my father) was part of the Burroughs Ginsberg Kerouac group of beat poets. His style leaned toward the surrealist. He was truly talented but alas he passed in 1988 before reaching his full potential. He was married to my mother, Gloria Tropp- a poet in her own right, for 33 years. Stephen was the son of Angelica Cushman who was a direct relative of Abner Doubleday, the fabled inventor of baseball. His works are featured in the record “New Jazz Poets” 1967 and “Big Ego” 1978 and in the book “Six American Poets” edited by Jack Micheline 1967 This book of poems was published in 1959. I believe I have the remaining copies in existence (3). Book has 11 pages. The cover is discolored from age and has some soil. But there’s no rips or missing pages. This is truly a lost piece of poetry history. Proceeds from the sale with go towards the care of Gloria Tropp who is now in nursing care.
