Description: Here is a pair of mini newspapers with World War II news. First is the Sunday Oregonian from May 12, 1944. Map of allied invasion of the Philippines and other war news. 8 ½” x 11” and 16 pages. The second issue is the famous PEACE! cover from August 15, 1945. Includes photos from the Portland celebration of the end of the war. This might have been a special edition as it is only 8 pages. These are on newsprint, and look like regular editions, just smaller. Likely some sort of reprints, I just don’t know when they were printed. Both are clean and very readable and interesting to say the least. Sold together only.
