Description: This is a beautiful and delicate vintage piece of art work from China in the style known as Tiehua or "iron painting" which is native to the city of Wuhu in the Anhui Province. The style dates back to the mid-1600's and was developed by artist Tang Peng, who was inspired by the Chinese paintings and paper cut work of his time. This piece features two women in a pagoda in a garden setting playing a game. It is 9.5" in diameter and has two hooks near the top (one on the pagoda top and one on the outer rim) for hanging. Note the broken solder joints on some spots, including on the side of the pagoda roof and on the bamboo branches/leaves on that side, which leaves them unattached to the inside of the frame. This does not detract from the delicate beauty of this piece or its display effect. Please examine photos carefully and feel free to email me with questions. Thanks for looking!
