Description: Up for sale is a copy of "The Masters of Wood Engraving" by W.J. Linton. Published in 1889 by B.F. Stevens this is a large, small folio sized work. It is signed and numbered by Linton. This is copy #52 of 500. Additionally 100 copies were printed on even larger paper. A nice collection of images including one full page color piece at beginning. Book is generally in nice condition. VG- or G+. Biggest issue is wear to the boards and some scuffing. Top of spine is cracked down right side (see photo). Previous owner bookplate. Some separation of book from binding most noticeable at middle of book (see internal creak in photo). Light browning and some other small dings here and there. Overall though in nice shape with most illustrations being clean and in great condition. Please email with questions and see my store for other great items.
