Tall Vintage Artisan Creation Cheerful Floral Topiary from the 1960s

Description: This is a tall pretty piece of artisan creation floral topiary from the late 1960s. the initials “MAC” on the bottom is the initials of the artist who decorated and also dated the piece.you can see the artist decorated it and fired it in 1969. The artist did a great job on the decoration. The colors were a great choice, and the application was very well done. It's a Holland Mold creation. Holland Mold: was founded in the late 1940s by Austrian immigrant, Frank Hollendonner. provided the molds that the blank bisque pieces were made from. They didn't make finished pieces. In most cases, the molds were bought by ceramic shops, and they would make the blank unfired pieces. Then home crafters and artists could go there and buy these unfired pieces, decorate them, and take them back to be fired and finished. Holland Molds created hundreds of different decorative molds until about the 1980s when designs shifted to rubber molds. Rubber molds allowed quicker, cheaper, production and Holland Mold wound up suffering from too much competition.
