Description: Stunning 19thC Large French Gilt Brass Four Glass Mantel Clock (c.1895) This has been through the M&K worshop, totally stripped, cleaned, polished and re-assembled to produce this feast for the senses. The gilt brass frame has a plethora of decorative features which include pierced fretwork panels and neo-classical pillars. The clock face with Arabic numbers also has a sublime pierced decor within the chapter ring, all encased in four bevelled glass windows/doors with the front door having a small chip to the bottom right commensurate with its age & use. Other than that it’s in great used condition The 8 day mechanism has been cleaned, lightly oiled and works perfectly, striking a coil chime bar on the hour & half hour. It comes with its original glass filled pendulum, key and overall, including the brass finials and feet, measures 32cmH x 16cmW x 12cmD. Very classy clock!
