We DO NOT use stock photos for our items. We are Season Ticket Holders for the RAYS, and have Grandson that came to every game with us when he was younger. With his permission, we are now liquidating a part of the vast collection to help pay for his Grandpa's Cancer treatment Cox was always a fan favorite because he was so friendly and open to autographing balls, passing over big guys to get to the littler fans. At spring training one year, our Grandson who was about 10, & went to talk to him. and Steve stood and talked to him about 10 min. then walked over to his bats and gave this one to him. You can tell it is WELL USED, with several ball scuffs on it which I have pictures some. Cox only played for 2 12/ years for the RAYS, when in the middle of the 2003 season, for some reason, he decided to give up his Major League career and go play in Japan. It proved to be a bad career move for him as he only play in a hand full of games over there, and when he came back, spent 5-6 years in the Minors before his Baseball career ended. In 2007, Cox became the head coach for Porterville College, and coached the Pirates for two seasons.
