Description: Hi Welcome! This item is NOT new or perfect! For your consideration is this really beautifully detailed Music Box from Germany. It is an unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted by the well known Steinbach company. It features 3 angels with gifts and another angel in the middle is ringing the bell on a tower in the woods. When the music is playing, the entire platform rotates.The musical movement is a swiss THORENS movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Susser die Glocken". To wind it up, just turn the key clockwise. There is a working stopper on the side, too.The music box is in great condition and seems to be complete, but there are a couple paint chips to mention, especially on the angel's hair. Please look at all pictures and zoom in. It is very rare, not new and perfect, but charming.It measures about 8 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide. Dates back to the late 1940s.
