Using lowering hangers will lower the rear of your truck by an additional 2" approximately, depending on application and maintain stock ride quality because the OE leaf springs are still in place. This drop hanger installs in the FRONT of the leaf springs (end closest to the engine), please do not install these hangers in the REAR of the leaf springs where shackles are mounted. Using this kit will not change the load carrying capacity of your truck.
