Description: Squier Sonic Stratocaster The single Squier humbucker in this guitar is generic but sounds surprisingly good. The hardtail setup is also very solid and tuning stability is top notch. The shining star on this guitar, however, is the neck. It was brand new but had a neck break near the headstock when I acquired it. It has been professionally repaired and was also resprayed with a matte clear coat and the break is nearly unnoticable. The fit and finish on these necks from the factory is not the greatest, but I have darkened up the fretboard with India Ink, sanded it super smooth, rolled the edges, filed the fret ends, and polished them as well, and I have given it a proper oiling. This guitar plays like butter, very much like an American made Strat at this point.. you really have to feel it to understand. The materials are Squier, but the fit and finish screams Fender. I do also have an Invader-style pickup I could install for free that is much hotter than the stock pickup if u would prefer something like that. Or I could just send the pickup with it in the box for an additional $25.
