Given this and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended.***********This seldom seen Solvil Titus diver has a matte black "SWISS MOVT" signed dial that is in near pristine condition. Please note that there appears to be a tint on the crystal, so the imperfections seen in the pictures are on the crystal, not the dial. The lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. The bezel, which shows wear and ratchets counterclockwise, looks good. The heavy duty all stainless steel case shows minor wear with no signs of oxidation. The outside edge of the case back is stamped "ALL STAINLESS STEEL CASE WATER RESISTANT 100 METERS 014973 40-8032-68" with "TITUS" stamped in the center. The crystal shows scratching and what appears to be tint loss.The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss "SOLVIL & TITUS" ETA 2836-2 automatic movement with quickset day and date functions is clean, runs strong, albeit a bit fast, and both the day and date wheels roll over at 12 am as they should. The quickset date function works flawlessly by pulling out the crown to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. The day function works in precisely the same manner with the exception of turning the crown counterclockwise. Please note that the day wheel is in both English and what I believe to be Chinese. After recently winding the screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement was running about 2 minutes fast by the end of its approximate 40 hour power reserve period. While the crown winds smoothly and unscrews without issue occasionally it can be a bit finicky screwing back down. Given that the movement runs a bit fast and considering its unknown service history (there is one undecipherable watchmaker service marking on the inside of the case back) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 40 mm without the crown, approximately 43 mm including the crown and approximately 22 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. The crystal adds no increase in thickness. This watch comes on its original all stainless steel band that is stamped "STAINLESS STEEL" on the inside of the clasp and "TITUS" on the outside of the clasp. The bracelet shows little stretch and is a bit loose on my approximate 6.5 inch wrist with the clasp set on the loosest setting. It's possible that it may comfortably accommodate up to a 6.75 inch wrist. Given that the movement runs a bit fast and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended.
