Description: I just made this mask in March 2024 using a very similar technique to those made for the film Texas Chainsaw Massacre in 1974. Gunner Hansen, in his book Chainsaw Confiencial, which recounts the production of the 74 movie, he explains that the masks were made of latex and fiberglass sculpted on top of lifecasts of the films producers. This latex mask is made using white and pink fiberglass insulation along on top of a facecast of me. It also has dyed goat hair for the hair. I also layered veins within the latex along with some hair punching to make the mask look extra realistic, check out the veins through a light. The mask is very thin all around and flexible but retains it's shape because of the insulation material. The size is around 24-25 inches.
