Sincola is honest and angry, without losing their sense of humor or fun. Rough guitar work, driving energy, and vocals ranging from girlish to fierce, all make this album a guilty pleasure without the guilt. Their opening track, "Hint of the Titty," is a wicked, witty ode to the tease, leading into "1000 Miles," an edgy number with a great hook. "Sedate Me" is crooning, seductive and irresistible: "I'll be your wish, your kewpie doll b****, your suicide kiss...." "Cement Shoes" rips into the self-righteous who preach love while living a life of hate. "Hey Artemis" is epic and driving, punctuated with stories. "Sud" is pure punk, with a frank, story-driven edge. The album wraps up with "Amazing," starting out slowly with drums, then layering bass and guitar leading into its bittersweet lyrics: "If I was amazin'...I would fly real high...I could crawl real low underneath the big black ocean..." Austin fans of Sincola have nothing to fear; Sincola hasn't sold out or traded up with this album. It's everything you'd expect from Sincola -- woman-driven, explicit punk that hasn't lost its edge. ~ Melinda Hill About Movie Mars All items are Brand New.
