Description: A Chinese shallow Ming Dynasty porcelain brush washer with fine red glaze. Mark and period of the Emperor Xuande (1426-1435 AD). This piece is in good condition. It does show evidence of use. Fine scratches (from scrubbing) are visible on the inner glazed area and the unglazed foot rim show excellent wear patination. The beautiful calligraphy shows typical characteristics of the Xuande porcelain. 2 inches tall 7 inches across
