In the upper left and right corners are Umberto II (1904-1983), the last King of Italy (May 1946- June 1946), and his wife, Marie-Jose of Belgium (1906-2001) who is also known as the May Queen, since she only served as Queen of Italy for one month. Also pictured are other children of King Emmanuel and Queen Elena: Princess Yolanda (1901-1986), Princess Mafalda (1902-1944), Princess Giovanna (1907-2000) and Princess Maria Francesca (1914-2001). Photo likely published upon the wedding of Umberto II to Marie-Jose Postcard may have normal wear associated with old postcards such as creases, stains and bent corners.
