Description: Up for sale is this rare and very beautiful cup and saucer made to commemorate the 1939 Royal Visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Canada and the US. This was the first time ever a reigning monarch visited Canada and the US. Manufacturer is Royal Albert and the pattern is called Loyalty. Both pieces have sepia portraits of the king and queen surrounded by the US Capital building and Parliament Hill. Gold trim and red autumn maple leaves. Both pieces are in excellent condtion, with no chips, cracks, scratches, or age related glaze crackling. Measurements are: cup: 2.75 inches tall and 3-1/8 inches across (excluding the handle) saucer: 5.5 inches across Gorgeous set.
