Description: Add some Art Deco style to your home decor with this Robinson Ransbottom Roseville stoneware pottery planter. The pattern is Sun and Moon. There is no marking on the bottom. Measuring approximately 4.75” in height and 6 inches in width, this planter is perfect for small to medium-sized plants. The planter is in very good preowned condition with no chips, cracks or fleabites. I don't see any crazing. A minor spot is missing glaze which happened during manufacturing. No markings on the bottom. A little history - In 1900 the Ransbottom brothers started in the pottery and stoneware business in Roseville, Ohio. In 1916 Ransbottom Pottery was the largest producer of stoneware jars in America. About 1920 they merged with Robinson Clay Products Co. who created bricks and tiles. The name changed to RRP Company. The product line expanded to include garden ware in addition to art pottery and functional goods. The company was able to stay in business until 2005 when it ceased operations.
