I bore two children and tragically lost my son Robert at age fourteen. My remaining child, a daughter, Judy Loach, is a Deputy Attorney General in Oakland, and a graduate of Columbia University, NY, and Santa Clara Law School. I graduated from San Jose State University with a Masters in Painting and with two teaching credentials: one in Art and the other in political and social science. I returned to school and completed my education while raising two children. In 1975 I published, edited, and wrote for Visual Dialog magazine. It was a serious journal emphasizing reviews and interviews with California artists. The magazine was an intellectual success, but not a financial one. I taught etching, drawing, art history, and design at De Anza and West Valley Colleges on the Peninsula.I have a very long exhibition record and have been in some distinguished galleries such as the Smith Andersen Gallery in Palo Alto, and d.p. Fong in San Jose. My exhibition career began with the best of dealers, and my beloved friend, Michael Himovitz, in 1990 in Sacramento. All of the galleries were generous in giving me solo exhibitions and putting my work in some good invitationals and private collections. My oeuvre consists of drawings, etchings, Gouache, and acrylic paintings. For many years now, I have pioneered waterbase monotype with the use of the silk airpen and wide expansion of the medium. Illinois residents will be charged 10% sales taxes.
