Description: Columbian Bench Vise No. 43 1/2 - 3 1/2" This bench vise was bought from the original owner. I disassembled it, cleaned all parts, removed any rust, greased, polished, primed with etching primer, and painted with Rust-Oleum paint. Just painting a vise is not restoring. All parts were inspected for damage, cracks, and unruly casting imperfections which I would have filed down. This particular vise had no cracks or anything out of the ordinary that needed repair. The vise weighs 17lbs and has 3 1/2" jaws. Overall Length when closed is 11" Opens and closes with one finger.....smooth. Machined surfaces have a light clear coat for rust protection. This vise is not for show. It's a tool, and it is meant to be used. PLEASE NOTE THE SMALL GASH IN THE ANVIL. IT'S MERELY COSMETIC AND IT DOES NOT AFFECT ANYTHING. Any questions? Feel free to ask.
