Description: Rare Kazakhstan Wrist Watch, Pen and Key Chain matching set. In 2002 I was working as the Emergency Manager for a Denver, CO suburb and was approached by a minister who had been awarded a Sister Cities grant from the US State Department. This fellow was tasked with training citizens in disaster preparedness in our sister city, Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan. I showed him the FEMA Citizen's Emergency Response Team (CERT) program I had been teaching and he invited me to join the small group headed for Kazakhstan. This watch, pen and key chain were given to us by the Mayor of Kyzylorda. I can find no makers makes on the set except the Kazak word on the face of the watch, pen, key chain and box (I have no idea what it says). I have looked at many Kazak watches and have not found any others with the emblem as pictured.
