Description: In 1916, McKee Glass Co. introduced their Innovation Cut Glass line which could be considered the forerunner of Elegant Glass, whose era began in 1920. Each piece started out as mold-pressed glass. Then, McKee used hand wheel cutting to create the floral motifs that had been made famous on American Brilliant glassware. The Innovation line is easily recognized (once you know what it is) by its heaviness and those distinctive flowers, leaves and buttons, which appear on just about all of the various patterns. This piece is known as Innovation pattern #412 and is quite difficult to fine pieces in this particular pattern. Very similar to McKee's Snappy line. However, Snappy’s flowers are small, with six petals. The only items in McKee's Snappy line are a rose bowl, 10” footed fruit bowl, ice bucket and apple bowl. The condition of this oval bowl is excellent. There are no cracks, chips, hazing or scratches. It is a gorgeous piece with lots of sparkle and the famous button banding of the Innovation line. Measures 11 1/8" long, a touch over 5 3/8" wide and stands 3 1/2" tall. Ships via USPS. We pack all our items with the utmost care to ensure their safe arrival to their destination.
