A Templar Warrior Brandishing Sword is Protecting a Desperate Young Mother with her Two Children from Enemies who Intend to Murder Them. The expression on the Terrified Woman as she desperately clutches to her two children is priceless. This unique gem hails from the York Commandery of New York’s Pilgimage to Washington D.C. for the 24th Triennial Conclave. This heavyweight Jewel looks like it might be Silver. It is in very good vintage condition with only expected minor age wear. The Jewel is incredible. A MUST HAVE FOR COLLECTORS! It measures approximately 3 ¼ inches in length. While the Jewel looks like it might be Silver, we are not jewelers and do not know if it has any real silver in it or if it is a sparkling silver colored metal of some kind. But we can assure you that it is a magnificent piece. And if this piece were marked for silver, our price would be way, way higher then what we list this for. Made by the illustrious New York City based Braxmar Company. It was founded by Charles G. Braxmar" (1850-1914), one of the really great historical American Masonic Jewelers and Sword makers. Braxmar had an odd way of pronouncing his name. He kept the "X" silent. Because of this peculiarity, during one period, he decided to stylize the spelling of his name to appear as "Braemar". Due to this eccentricity, quite a few historic books mistakenly list a company called "C. G. Braemar", when in fact there never was such a company. It always was "C. G. BRAXMAR"! Braxmar swords equaled and sometimes even surpassed the works of the great swordmakers (who themselves also ventured into jewelry) such as “The Ames Sword Company”, “M. C. Lilley & Co”, “The Pettibone Bros” and “William Horstmann of Philadelphia”.
