Description: This is a nifty cover(sent in official stationery of the ship!) sent on October 17, 1902, from Yokohama, Japan, to Udine, Italy, by an Italian sailor(almost surely an officer, considering the use of the official envelope, AND to whom the mail was sent, a member of Italian nobility!) serving aboard the Italian warship, Regia Nave Puglia! The Puglia, was a Regioni-class, protected cruiser commissioned in 1901. The cover was sent to a Count Enrico de Brandis! To continue, outside of a few, shorter perfs at its top, the blue, 10-Sen, Japanese issue is in very fine condition! The mail arrived in Italy, but the name and date on the CDS from the post office are hard to make out. Lastly, as for the official envelope, itself, it's in quite fine condition! It's quite clean! The back flap is more than 95% intact. Noted imperfections aside, this cover remains a neat piece of Royal Italian Naval postal history sent from the protected cruiser, Puglia, in 1902, while it was in Japan!
