When using the thermal pen, ensure you don’t use too much pressure and work on a hard surface. Ensure the wax paper is under and on top of the card (sandwiched) and use the low heat setting (blue light - NOT RED). Testing shows water logged cards with "bubbled up" holo does not fair well to this method.
