Direct from the July 6, 2006 Pirates in the Big Apple event is this Logo Pirate’s Auction Paddle. It was used to bid on merchandise being auctioned off at the event. One of these numbered 8” wide x 12 1/2” glossy cardboard paddles with a wooden handle were given to each guest that attended the event, so there were only 250. This event was held at the World of Disney New York City 5th Avenue flagship Disney Store to commemorate the movie release of the the Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man’s Chest. 250 hardcore Disney / Pirates Fans paid $120 to attend this exclusive after hours event that included meet and greats with Jason Surrell and Mark McCreery and an auction of exclusive merchandise from the movie. This store event was followed by the group heading over to the exclusive NYC premier midnight screening of the movie at the Ziegfeld Theater.
