Common names include Oriental spruce or Caucasian spruce. A native to the Caucasus and Turkey. It can grow to 120 feet in its habitat but usually seen around 60 feet tall. Branches start near the ground and up to a conical crown. The cones are violet when in the ripening process and eventually turn brown. That is when it's a real head-turner.
