Description: This is a pair of stunning English Staffordshire Mantle Cats, larger, more colorful, and more ornately decorated than usually seen with these figurines. From bottom of base to tip of an ear, they are 7.25" high, The base is about 3.75" x 3". The white cats are sitting on blue pillows, they have the fine crackling decoration, on top of which is a beautiful flower painting in blue, green and gold - large one on the backs, small one on the shoulder. I've seen the decoration described as transferware and spongewear - sorry, I don't know which, if either, is correct. The cats are sporting bows around their necks, and they definitely seem to be smiling, contented kitties. Condition-wise, they are perfect. No chips, no cracks, absolutely flawless.
