Description: An original antique map of the area around Hohenlinden Germany in 1801. It is titled, 'Carte Topographique Des Environs de Hohenlinden ...'. It was drawn and engraved by Ambroise Tardieu and published in Paris in c.1824 in 'Precis des evenements militaires 1799-1807' by M Dumas. The map shows the area around Hohenlinden (which was a site of conflict during the Napoleonic campaign in 1801) in considerable detail. The printed area measures approximately 370mm x 238mm with margins beyond, blank verso. It is printed on good quality, hand-laid paper and has a strong, clear print impression. Condition report: Excellent condition. One or two marginal handling marks. Slightly uneven top edge of the sheet where it has previously been removed from the source publication, not affecting the printed area. Please study the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
