This amazing 6 1/2” by 14 3/4” survivor was for Heinrich Krumwiede of Lyons, Clinton County, Iowa. Krumwiede enlisted on August 22, 1862 in the 26th Regiment of the Iowa Infantry. He was mustered September 15, 1862 and died January 11, 1863 at the battle of Arkansas Post. He is buried in National Cemetery, Little Rock, Ark. Section 4, grave 404. This has wear, some stains and tears. There is a tear in the left side of the bottom coupon. It has been folded. There is writing on the back. All I can make out is, Dorothea.
