Description: This offering is for an antique 19th century mounted photo of the Log Cabin over the entrance to Cave of the Winds in South Dakota. The image is identified in the negative as "LOG CABIN OVER ENTRANCE TO THE CAVE OF THE WINDS NEAR HOT SPRINGS S.D. PHOTO BY F. H. WHITTEMORE". The albumen image is sepia tone and has some overall light fading or lack of contrast as is typical. The overall size including the mount is app. 8" X 10" and the image itself is only slightly smaller. There is wear to the corners and edges of the mount as well as scattered soiling and a bit of staining on the very edge of the top left hand corner. There are no rips, tears or repairs. The buyer will pay a fixed amount of $ 5.00 for Standard Mail and we will include delivery confirmation, tracking, at no additional cost.
