Description: I was torn about selling this one. But here she is. Please read full description. This is one of MXL's best mics in my opinion. Compared to my Rode NT1, this one sounds more premium, and handles plosives and vibrations better. It has been well taken care of in a smoke free booth. The one feature that makes me choose one of my other mics over this one for VO, is the noise floor. The 3000 has a 19db self noise, which is not ideal for my use, but for a musical application, anything under 20 is just fine, and imo, the sound of this mic well makes up for that. Condition: Some minor scratches, dings, etc. (I purchased this used a couple years ago) I am concerned that the headbasket feels just a little loose on one side, but as I have had this happen with other MXL mics, (separation of mesh from headbasket ring) a little epoxy solved it. You'll have to determine whether you want to muck with that, but if the mic isn't going to be jostling from place to place, you might not want to do anything. What you see is what you get, no packaging, case, shockmount, etc. Just the trusty blue mic. Ok, thanks for looking!
