Description: This miniature antique stoneware pottery motto jug from the Detrick Distilling Company in Dayton, Ohio and is from around the turn of the 20th century , early 1900’s . This brown jug features advertising for the distillery and is an original piece from the United States . The Detrick Distilling Company has made this Motto jugs highly collectible and they come with different mottos , this one reads , “ While we live , let us live “ . It measures 4 inches in height and is 2-3/8 inches in diameter at the base and the top opening is one half of an inch in diameter and it weighs a good 9 ounces . This has several manufacturing defects and a chip on the rim and glaze crazing , I have pictured all this in my last photographs for you to see . I can see no visible cracks on this Jug . This will be carefully packaged and shipped in a sturdy box with the shipping weight being one pound 5 ounces . Thank you .
