Description: Meyer Optik ingenious engineer Paul Schaefter constructed the Trioplan 105/ f12.8, one of the most famous lenses of all times known for its ability to create multiple bokeh effects all with one lens. This lens gives photographers a tool which truly enables them to express themselves in different ways with this single lens. Trioplan images became famous for their dreamlike diffluence of hazy bubbles in the bokeh, discreetly swirling around the center of the image. The moony bokeh and the soft haze in the background are characteristic. Yet, the object of interest is in astonishing sharp and thus the viewer's attention is focused to where the photographer wants it to be. Built pre- WWII, this lens was brought to the USA and carefully stored since June, 1945. Provenance is available. Recent inspection, cleaning and lubrication by an expert confirms it is in excellent working condition, with barrel showing some signs of cosmetic wear. Aperture is fully functional and focusing is smooth and easy.
