Description: VINTAGE MAYAN VESSEL I know this item is vintage, but I'm not sure if it is vintage reproduction or an actual antiquity. I found it at a local flea market. The dealer had no information on it as he got it from a house cleaned out. The vessel is about 12.75" tall. It is very solid and heavy. It weighs about 8 lbs 10 ounces. There is some wild imagery on the exterior. There are a couple spots were the relief has fallen off or chipped away. The item displays well and most of the relief is intact. There is dirt in the bottom of this piece. It appears the former owner used it as a planter. If anyone has more insight on this piece I would love to hear from you. I did some preliminary research, but I couldn't find many similar pieces. Check out my store for more great items.
