Description: New Russell Performance (Edelbrock) check valve. THIS IS NOT A FUEL FILTER. This is a 1-way valve, which prevents backflow of fuel back to the fuel tank. This reduces the hard start symptom related to improper fuel line priming. These are commonly used when the fuel pump is above the fuel tank, or fuel bleeds back to the fuel tank. Also, if you are running 2 fuel pumps, you will want a check valve for each pump PRIOR to the "Y" connection, that way if one pump fails, the fuel does not return back to the tank through the failing pump. Anodized black. Be advised that Edelbrock owns Russell, so the filters may be engraved Russell or Edelbrock as the company rebrands the parts, and no choice for engraving is available. Please by advised that a check valve only allows fluid to flow in 1 direction, if your system cannot maintain fuel pressure while the pump is off, this will not solve that problem!
